ABOUT DENTAL HYGIENIST

A dental hygienist carries out preventative dental procedures. Hygienists use a variety of tools and techniques to remove things like tartar, stains, and plaque from teeth. They help improve patients’ dental health by preventing cavities and tooth loss as well as helping them achieve beautiful smiles!  

How to become qualified in this field (learning path)

  1. NSC/NC(V) (Entry into programmes subject to the specific requirements of the educational institution)
  2. Bsc degree in Oral Health
