Specialist Peridontist

A Periodontist is a Dental Specialist who treats the supporting structures around the teeth like the gums, the roots and the bones around the oral area – and treats diseases of these structures. 

Required Qualifications

  1. Certificate (NSC/NC(V). Entry into programmes subject to the specific requirements of the educational institution)
  2. Bachelor of Dentistry (BDS) or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD)
  3. Internship (12-month internship)
  4. Postgraduate Degree (Master in Dentistry Periodontics)
